    Mathews monkey tails string silencers

I am wondering if anybody has used the Mathews Monkey tails string silencers, I am thinking of putting them on my Reezen 6.5 since I keep having the rubber cats whiskers style comming apart after a few hundered shots. If I put another set on itll be the 4th set so I figure I may try the Monkey tails.

        monkey tails are expensive.

I was originally told the life of them was real long. Had my Z7 since february and already had one tail go. Not gonna pay to have more put on, have 2 string grubs and will be happy with those alone when other tails break (3 left)

never used them bro so far from what ive heard from the hoyt,PSE guys is that my bow is the quitest they have ever heard and youve seen the pics of my bow, nothin but plane jane. but u hunt hogs and i hunt bears (MUHAHAHAH) If ur still workin with the guy in yorktown im hoping to have u a bear skin soon that I'll let you do whatever u want with,(as long as you dont screw it up, prefer a rug with claws and teeth) but on the bow side i realy dont think you need them. ive got mine set a 65Lbs and at 40yds ther may be a half sec between release and impact.

They recently changed the compounds in the tails so the new versions will last a much longer time, just a heads up for anyone with tails that are breaking

Well hopefully you guys have a decent turn out today for your first 3d shoot. Im suprised you so far are the only one to sign up maybe you will have people signing up this morning. On another note right now my strings are bare other than the peep and D-loop and the bow may just stay that way Its not any louder than it was with the cats whiskers on it and no problems with vibration, so I may leave it alone for a while. Oh well off to replace a feeder this morning and then hopefully Im gonna get some pig sticking in tonight. Let me know how yalls shoot goes.

My Z7 has about 1000 shots thru it and they are breaking on mine as well. It's only a little over a month old

I hope so, I had one break after about 200-300 shots. If I purchase them, is there any way to tell new from old because I would think there is a lot of old ones still out there.

If I remember correctly they were calling the older ones back but thats not to say your local dealer sent them in. I'll do some checking and see if their is a way to determine the difference, I'm sure the coding on the tub is different but I just need to research it a little.

First one broke three days after I bought my Z7 and the second one broke about two weks later.

PSE VendettaXL is quieter than a Reezen 6.5.

Thanks for the feedback. I since have had the second one break on the string but my Z7 is still silent so I'm going to go without. Did you find out anything interesting at the factory?
