Its just not coming together yet. Berkman is out, Pence is just now getting started, Lee hasnt started hitting yet....
Offense looked good last night in the 3rd and 9th...just gotta get em to show up for all those other innings.
No excuse, but since it was already mentioned... 2 of the first 5 pitchers faced hold THREE Cy Young awards so yes they have faced some great pitching from some good teams.

I've always been and will remain an astros fan. However, I think its pretty pathetic when your #1 and #2 pitches cant seem to make it to the 7th inning. I could understand if it were at the end of the season and fatigue has set in, but not at the beginning. I feel that they should be able to start the season with good performances I mean they are the #1 and #2 pitches not the bottom of the rotation.

i was a fan of berry when he was a player, but he aint no hitting coach,, and why in the blazes do you have to take the first pitch for a strike evertime you get up... i didnt let my little league teams do it,, and "pro's" shouldn't be told too!! as it is they are down a strike when they step in the box!!Last edited by xman59; 04-11-2010, 04:35 PM.

Round Rock hasn't started much better. They're 1-3.I am looking forward to seeing Jason Castro, the catcher of the future for the Astros here in R.R. He had a helluva year last year in AA Corpus Christi, so it's gonna be fun to watch him here in AAA.
