I'm having trouble making up my mind on a stand design, my original plan was to make the front round and the sides and rear flat. I'm now thinking about making it a 6' round blind. I need help in a plan here, would a round design have any advantage over a octagon design other than just being different?

Round is always better, it is more efficient, in my opinion, ie, less waste in materials other than that in the woods you may not be able to get a completely round blind in an area that you want to hunt with out altering the environment around you. If you are hunting and have room to do it , I would go with round brotherLast edited by Oneway; 04-08-2010, 09:37 AM.

Re: Bow Blind Idea's
Here's mine I built for the upcoming season. It in the form of a octagon, but not even on all sides. Two windows in the front, one on each of the front corners, and two on each of the sides. I had no idea where I ws going to put it so I made it versatile. I made the windows so long in case I wanted to elevate it. seems like it is going to work well. I was covered up in deer the first time I set it up after only a week of feeding.

another thing, i made the door as big as possible. when carrying my gear into my old stand, i would always bang something coming in the door. with this new monster of a door, i can slip in silently without banging any of my gear.
