Re: 2nd Annual MCO Turkey Lurkey Live Hunt!
I had an absolute blast this weekend fellows! I wish we could have put a few birds and other animals on the ground, but I guess that is hunting!
Thanks for following along, I hope you had as much fun reading as we did making it happen.
Rod has the group shot and some other great memories he will post when he has the time, Big thanks to all the guys for coming out, and I can't wait till next the next live hunt!

You'd have to be a SMART poacher to poach deer during turkey season, considering that the Whitetail Buck generally loses its' horns in mid to early spring. Live hunts will be posted when I feel it is safe to do so again. Most likely for the next year or two only the large Spring and early Fall Group Live hunt will be posted. Trail cam pics and such will never be posted again. It makes the poacher's job to easy.
Live hunts are not here to grace anything, just fun in the sun with great friends, sharing good times, good stories, and hopefully good hunting.
Thanks for all of the invaluable information you have provided on this thread when it comes to your turkey knowledge Smart. You truly are an All-Star!!!
Erik and I have been texing back and forth this morning. Looks like he may have killed something better than I can imagine. Top 25 all-time typical Rio bird total score with a bow and maybe the overall longest spur ever in the US if not top 5 ever with a bow!!!!!!!!!! Top 3 spur typical with a bow in Texas and maybe Top 10 ever total score depending on weight!!!!!!
This is absolutely awesome!!! I knew we had good turkey's on our place just not quite that good! I actually didnt think that Turkey was that big, as we have seen better roaming the ranch!!!! Tricking a World caliber bird is pretty cool! Pumps me up to be perfectly honest!
Big congrats to ERIK!
