    Do hogs rut?

I know the rut is one of the best times for deer hunting, but is there a season or time period when hogs are rutting and it makes for better hog hunting?

I always thought they pretty much constantly reproduce, hence why there's so many of them.

Nope, they're always in rut. And they don't use protection.

              well, that answers that.

i guess if they are like a guy in college, that explains why so many people recommend mixing beer with corn.

Root, but not rut. One of my favorite sayings about hogs: A hog is the only animal where 8 babies are born and 12 survive.

They must be better at it than I was in college, I tried and tried, but there always seemed to be about half of the equation missing.

In my experience they rut in the Fall when there is more food and cooler temps, but will breed all year long. Thats why in February and early spring there are tons of them.
