          Yep my AR is my go to pig gun!! haven't lost one yet but it is also all about shot placement..

            I have one on my sons 243, you will love it for hunting pig / deer size game. Small game and target shooting not so much because the dot covers too much IMO.

            That said, that same scope in 3x9 is what I'm thinking of putting on mine.
