    Conch in Galveston ---????? HELP!!!!

Hi my beloved brothers n sisters! Well, I'm so excited because as we were fishing today in Galveston, we didn't catch any fish, but I did find this cool looking conch (I think). I brought it home and want to try to cook it. Any suggestions on how to check if it's good/cook it?

    Thanks!!!

Doesn't have to be cooked. Many a year ago my Dad and I had some after snorkling....all the crew did was pull it out, slice it up, cover it in sauce and, serve it with crackers. It was good.

It's still fresh. I've kept it cool and when I touch it... it moves, lol. I guess I'm just not sure how to "pull it out".

Holy Crap!!!! While googling this I found out that it's very rare because it's opening is to the left (sinistral). This is so awesome!

That's a welk, not a conch. Never heard of anyone eating one so let us know how it turns out.

Also, all Lightning Welks are "left handed".
