The iPod Touch and iPhone have always been more limited by their screen real estate than anything else. Essentially an iPad is simply a larger version of a Touch... and its priced that way. I don't understand the negativity about it, have a small TV in a bedroom or study? would you say watching the Super Bowl was the same on it as on your 31" widescreen hd lcd? at a 25% price difference?
Now that's really not completely fair because there are things the iPad will do that a touch can't. The email client is different, photo sorting is WAY different, books are WAY different. I think the iPad will quickly become the device to have sitting on your coffee table or end table beside the couch. That's just my two cents though.
A friend of mine is a software developer. He invented MotionX. He has had one for a couple weeks and is saying that the Ipad will do for computers what the IPhone did for cell phones.
I don't need another freaking card reader to keep up with. I've got two already. Esp. one that costs $29 and is proprietary.
Just put a mini-USB port on the the thing and be done with it.
A card reader maybe, big maybe, a USB port.... doubtful, the money made by Apple licensing iPod/iPhone cables is significant.
People pay $300+ for 6" photo frames, this thing is much larger and does a heck of a lot more, for not a ton more money.
You can add a keyboard so you have a dock if you want something different for extended typing. My question is of everyone that doesn't like something.... What other device out there does everything you want? Serious question, I'm sure I ain't seen or read about everything.
This thing already has some companies contemplating requiring workers to provide their own computer/network device for their jobs. That there is change coming because of this there is no doubt. The question is will it be a little change or a big change. iMac type change or iPhone type change....
