Great post, glad you did. I guess seeing a couple will really hit home also. Back is late seventies (I think) there was a pilot from Gatesville MIA. His remains were found and the funeral was in Gatesville. I was visting parents in Evant (25 miles west of Gatesville). We were outside when the fighters came screaming over in formation headed east. Thinking back it seem like 3 or 4 minutes when they came screaming back in the missing man formation. They were so low they had to climb to go over the hills. One of the few times I remember seeing Dad with tears in his eyes. (Mine were running off my cheeks)

The other was when the Lake Worth Fire Fighters were killed in the church fire and CareFlight and FWPD helicopters did fly overs.
