        Gotcha!

I dont think thats your problem. I thought you were talkin about wheel/hub spacers.

Wiping brow...thanks for the clarification Joey. I was hoping the spacers weren't a mistake or potential cause of the problem. I will update the thread after the Jeep's trip to the shop Thursday morning.

I too would say balljoints....just replaced my front ball joints and tie rods due to buddy's death wobble in his F250....I had some of the same symptoms he did and caught it before I got to experience the wobble.........

wobble usually starts/occurs in turns. When did you experience it?

My daily route has MANY bumps / railroad crossings / etc. This incident occurred when exiting the freeway, going ~45 and it was one of the "normal", unavoidable bumps...nothing more than a 2" drip / change in elevation on the road. All I know is that I was sucking some serious seat until I was able to come to a complete stop.

I can imagine....Hopefully it is something besides the ball joints..... 50K sure is quick so hopefully you get a bushing or tierod report back.. ......I had 228k when mine went out...

chrysler products are bad about front end parts i know this from experience as a mechanic and a dodge owner when you get to the shop if they tell you it is front end parts make them show you which parts they are talking about when they are showing you, look for slack in them parts but other than front end parts it could be a number of things to many to list or talk about without writing a novel the key is to make the tech show you the part or parts that are supposedly bad and demonstrate why he/she says they are bad

My limited research somewhat validates this comment as it appears this can be caused by one of many things or a combination of several things. I am hoping it is simply an alignment and a tightening exercise. Anything I should be leary of...i.e. I don't want to get taken advantage of. Thanks in advance.
What size tires you got? Are you running a Dana 35 rearend? Not that this has anything to do with your problem but Dana 35 are stupid weak axles. I would be weary on putting anything over 31's on D35's. Just something to think about in the future that might save you some heartache.

It could also be a bushing issue. My pathfinder would get the wobble and scare the you know what out of ya. I changed out all the rear track bar bushings and it fixed it.

Mark T - good advise. I will make sure I get some OJT while I am at the shop

Blood Trail - not sure about the rearend...it is stock. I am running 285/75/16...essentially 33"s.

Thanks again TBH...I will update tomorrow after getting her checked out.

A buddy of mine has a shop that pretty much all they do is work on diesel trucks. He says that is the one problem Dodge has, their front ends are junk. He reccomends going in and going with aftermarket parts on the Dodge frontend. We are looking to buy a new truck so I was asking him the pro's and cons of each truck.

Have them look at your steering stabilizer Kev. I had to get a heavy duty one on my F250 after it happened twice to me, I haven't had it happen since then. Let me know if you need some help.

Appreciate it Poppy! I just hope it doesn't take the entire day to fix.
