Excellent. Glad you got it running again. Like I said, mine has never had an issue (aside from the crappy stringer). I think they are alright for what they were meant to do. They are not a professional/commercial grade and work fine for small-medium sized yards.

My troybuilt weedeater had a crap feed system, but every weedeater does. I replaced it with a fixed non-feed head that you thread line into. The line lasts longer and is way less time consuming to deal with. You can buy the spools and just cut to length if you don't want to buy pre-cuts. It'll save you about $1 doing that (LOL).

The carb is a bit finicky, I admit. I'm cleaning my carb bits right now, but it isn't such a big deal. An hour to clean and put it back together isn't such a big deal, and I'd have to do it on any carb that had gas sitting in it for a few months. I knew I'd have to do it when I left it full. Better to deal with it full than empty though due to varnishing issues with residual gas though.

I still have my old Toro two stroke in the backyard. Paid about $130 for it 6 years ago, and it still runs. I just got tired of mixing gas.

Glad you got it worked out. The foam filters are cleanable. I use some old K&N solvent that is just sitting around in the garage.

I was going to mention the little choke lever that sits behind the black air filter cover in the upper left corner. Sometimes it gets pushed down and won't allow mine to start.
