Yes from what Cody told me it was..Its been a few weeks and its just crazy what people will do. I have shot some very very big hogs, that was before I knew about a scoring system. The largest I have shot pegged a 450 # scale so I dont know what it really weighed, the feed store around here went to 450. That was with guts out. But it didnt look anything like this hog. I think one day I am goona take a trip to Owens or Jimmie deans and show some people what a big stud hog looks like.\
There is alot of kinks in this story as that gun he supposedly was using will blow a heck of a hole,,they supposedly chased it around for hours,,A hog wild or not aint going to sit and wait to die..the ears are usually the tell tale sign..it goes on and on.
I have some great something in my grounds around here and I have shot some hogs that would make people just go hmm but they dont look anything like that.
I have hogs that jump 7' panels at times.they grow big here but not that big.
I for sure aint against high fence hog hunting, because I sell hogs to them but good gravy,,its gotta be a wild hog.

Here's an email I sent to the boys email address:
Nice hog!
Did you get any kind of skull mount or shoulder mount?
Was it killed on a high fence ranch or low fence place?
How many shots did it take?
How was the meat?
Thanks for the info!
Bobby
Here's the response I got from his Dad (I guess):
Skull and Sholder Mount
2,500 acre farm just regular wire fences
he fired 16 times and hit it nine times
good but smelled strong

Does the hog look like a true Russian boar? No but to go off saying it was brought in from a farm and shot within 30 minutes of its release is a bit bold. In our neck of the woods, Lavaca County, where Cody Weiser is from, hogs got there start by one land owner that bought a bunch of domestic hogs and released them. This was many, many years ago and we are still killing hogs that have color and physical traits of domestic hogs but those hogs have never seen a pen. I am not dissagreeing with anyone on this hog having domestic traits. I am not saying this hog should be entered into WWT under its guidelines. All I am saying is popping off about this hog being released and shot without having facts about that, is just a little rough. No offense intended.

I would like to say I am not speaking for the others,I based my statement on what I had read and seen posted. I had also gone to the site and read,No doubt its a heck of a hog but some of the pieces are not adding up. I saw another post and have been looking for it where they were at a high fence game reserve.I am still looking. If it turns out to be the real deal. I guess I will learn not to judge so quickly. I have been wrong before

certain domestic traits are one thing, but this pig has no "wild" traits at all. this pig was raised on a farm. no doubt in my mind. we touched on this subject the other day about the lessons these kids are learning on a hunt like this. and then you add the story and its down right embarrasing to our sport. c'mon guys there is no way to justify this. it is what it is. its a big ole fat hog that sat there and didnt even know what to do when somebody shot at him.
