You know why MOST people don't have large house cats like so many of us have large dogs? Dogs are LOYAL, cats are not. If you were to die in your house, and nobody found you for a while, when they did find you, your dog would likely be dead of starvation, laying right beside you. Die in a house full of cats and they'll eat your body. Dogs see you as a leader, a friend, a family member...your dog truly loves you. Your cat sees you as the dude that puts out my food and cleans up my poop. If we had 100 pound house cats, they'd see us as that dude that tastes really good....hey, somebody's putting a key in the door...LUNCHTIME!

I had one come into the clinic for a few years that a guy had gotton before it open its eye. She got to about 26 lbs and was not to be messed w/ definatly a wild animal. She did fine w/ him and his family, but she would have to be locked up before anyone else came over because she would attack them. I would not advise anyone owning one. I wouldn't touch her until she was sedated.

One of my good friends had one for years in Dallas when I was in my 20's. I can assure you they are not like a housecat....the time his wifes schit-zu(sp?) had puppies and was locked in the bathroom...ol' Zach busted through the door and killed all the puppies and scattered blood all over the place....mass carnage.
I have more stories....he was really cool thought.

Beautiful animal. I've only seen two while bowhunting and that covers a span of 45 years. One was out of range, but the other was around 15 yards. It didn't know I was there. I watched it for a minute or two. Then it walked off. Made my day since it was the only unique thing I saw that morning. And I felt good about letting it walk.

The last one I was a part of, lets just say the little white toy poodle was red when I removed his owner from the front yard. The cops that were their were freaked out!

Not sure about the legalities, if it were in Texas, but a bobcat would be a cool pet UNTIL it reverted back to its roots and tore up all your stuff!
Cool pictures though.
