    Ipod/Iphone in the truck?

I've got a stock radio in my 06 ford F250 and I'd like to get an adaptor for plugging in my iphone/ipod. Anyone have any suggestions/experience? I wasn't impressed with the wireless radio options.

You can get an adapter to connect to your stereo that will allow you to play it through the stereo, but they cost almost as much as the ipod. Best Buy has them for most vehicles.

I have a Soundfly SD made by Santech. Its works great in both my Chevys.
Its an FM tuner that plugs into the 12v. It also has a slot for charging your ipod with a cord.
About $30 bucks on Amazon.....and it was about the highest rated one too.

Thats what I ran into when looking into doing the same thing in my 06'... I decided to spend a few more dollars and just get a new head unit that came with the input!!!!

Look on eBay for the kit for the year model. They have them that should plug and play withthe factory stereo, I bought one for our Durango and it works great. No cuttin of wires just unplug and plug in. You can also google iPod adapter for your truck and it should pull up a few options

If you have a tape player but the 20$ tape player adapter and also the iphone male part adapter that plugs straight into your phone and this works great for me. The FM modulators where you play them over the radio waves have always not worked well for me.

It says for 2008 but it will work on a 2006. I used it on my 2006 explorer. If you need any help I work for Ford

Search for trip tunes under a 2008 model

It would be cheaper just to but a new radio, you can get them for under $100.

You could get an fm transmitter that plugs into your ipod or i phone and it plays through your radio i think wal mart has one over by the truck radios that is around $10

                    This^

Works great for material already on the i-whatever. If you are using Pandora over the cellular network, you will get the feedback though.

I tried the fm transmitter type device and just threw it away. I guess I had the wrong one. The sound quality was terrible.

Just go buy a brand new Ford with the sync built in...has your usb plug on the dash and will even charge it for you...of course not the cheapest way to go! lol

A new radio with the port built in will get you the best sound quality and probably only cost a few bucks more than some fancy connector. Even the cheapo radios at wal-mart have the aux input. Thats the way I would go at least.
