Well I have been contemplating buying rubber boots for a while now and have done quite a bit of research and had my mind set on the 18" Lacrosse Alpha Burly 800 gr thinsulate. I went to Cabelas today to try some on and they didnt have anything insulated in stock for Lacrosse but the guy told me the Cabelas brand was no different so I tried out two different fitting types; the Comfort fit and the Duratrax. The duratrax was more comfortable in the sole and fit tighter in the foot where as the comfort fit had less sole comfort but more breathing room. I have never owned rubber boots before but have heard that it is good to have the breathing room in the foot because moisture will accumulate in a rubber boot from sweating etc. and you will have to change socks. If i had to go for long walking comfort the duratrax would be better, but they fit very snug in the foot and am worried about the moisture issue. the comfort fit are not uncomfortable by any means though and any advice would be GREATLY appreciated

I bought a $30 pair from Tractor Supply two years ago. They've held up well and I wear them just about every weekend rather hunting or working. They truley do hide your scent. I've had deer, hogs and yotes walk right down the trails I walked into my blind on and never think twice. I do that with reg boots or shoes and they bust me every time!
Sorry, I've never bought a high dollar pair of rubber boots.
