Generally speaking there are a ton of Deer near that area and south 281 all the way,Dependant on the ranch size and managment program in place. If not managed and a small less than 500 acres with no landowner Co-Op on surrounding Area Ranches it can be tuff to break the 120-130. That being said its a great Drive and u will see tons of deer,Turkey and Dove if u have crops and tanks. It can be Very Good.

There are no deer in Evant. Eric doesn't know what the heck he is talking about. You should send me the lease info and I'll save you the trouble of looking at it.

X2 Typically tons of deer but run small. Like said above it will depend on the ranch. This rascal was killed by a fellow TBH member 20 miles from there

We hunt just west of Moline, maybe 10 miles SW of Evant. LOTS of deer, some very good deer. Much will depend on the hunting pressure on and near the ranch.

We hunt in, The Grove, have killed bucks anywhere between 130's and 168". Most in the 140's with 2 breaking 160. We have been hunting the place for 20 years. 1100 acres backing up to the Leon river bottom. Some hogs, not many though and the turkey population has exploded in the last 4 years. I think you will be very happy in that area!

As said above the Evant area can be very good! There is some open area around there that can be very hard to bowhunt. The deer size and quality can be very good if the place has been managed right. I have good friends that have a large ranch about 5 mi. west of town. They always take respectable deer every year, that is if they have time to mess with them instead of their herd!

This place is about 5 miles west of town on Hwy 84. Cross street is co rd 537. On Google maps the area out there looks very open. Looks to be just groups of trees maybe 100 to 200 acres scatered here and there. This place does have a big hill with lots of cover but the cover is only about 350 acres. Is this ok? Seems like it needs to have more trees???? My first lease in this area so maybe I am wrong???? What are yalls places like? There is not a creek but does have a couple tanks.
