I left Beaumont last night at 8 pm when I got a relief at the F D headed for Colorado after getting a call from a good friend of mine that cat hunts with him saying get your butt up here. They killed a 180 plus pound Tom early last week and he had one of his dogs killed by a lion after it attacked him while on a leash. He was able to find the carcuss and checked it and ended up killing a 100 lb female. He said there are some 200 lb cats there and with the snow last night and today, conditions are right. So I drove all night till6 am when I reached dalhart and took a two hour nap in the truck. Now I'm finally here after going through a blizzard with whiteouts and hopefully well connect. I'll post up when done.

Hope you are in shape! I thought I was. My mistake was not realizing that I would be going as fast as I could following a lion that was getting chased by dogs, so we were going where going to go where he wanted to go. Allot different than elk hunting!Comment
