    Man Card Issues ????

I have the great and awesome reponsibility of being Mr. Mom today. My 23 month old son has a bad cold and fever. Since getting back to the house I have accomplished the following.

    -Little man doctored and fed
    -Load of laundry started
-Load of laundry folded and put away
    -Morning dishes done
    -Work related calls (3) handled
    -Trash taken out

    Planned tasks are as follow.

    -Care for little man
    -Floors swept and vacuumed
    -Dinner started
    -Straighten garage
-Anything else I can figure out

Is my man card in danger of revocation?

I would say no that is just TCB if your single or married with kids.

I hope your man card is safe I stay at home with kids during most of the week and work late afternoon and evenings. Sounds like my day to day and I am pretty sure nobody will be taking mine unless it is pryed from my hands.

Man card's are stupid. But a real man would wear a pink tutu if it meant making his kid feel better and handling business like you are right now.

Taking care of your children is a plus in the man card area.... But not too sure about all that other stuff

However, your bride will most likely be very happy with you... I just hope my wife doesn't read this b/c I am at home (vacation) 26 weeks a year and I don't do housework...

I concur with what was previously said by all. Great dad and great husband. Only if you weren't doing those things would your card be revoked.

The primary duty of a man is to take care of his family in whatever way is required.

You get a big GOLD STAR for the day. I say get a bottle of Turkey and have a few sips tonight.

I don't see a thing on that list that any member of the Armed Forces hasn't done at some time or another.

                        Carry on.

                          Daddy duties (or doodies)

do not fall in line or cross over into man cards...unless you enjoy breast feeding

I am a full time stay at home dad for my two boys, 10 and 9 while my wife works outside the home. Yes, I cook, clean, shop, wash, fold, etc. But I also hunt, kill things, gut things, ride jetskis, dive a boat, etc. While 308 Dave often threatens to take away my man card, i still have it. Have fun while you can, you never know when they will be gone. This I know because i started as a stay at home dad 13 years ago for my oldest son. He would be 13 this Friday. He died of cancer when he was 17 months old in 1999. Love each and every day you have with them, you never know when it will be the last.
