water heater question

I hear a drip in the tank falling on the burner and sizzling. Does this mean it's almost time for a new one or is it just condensation? This is the first time I have heard this and at the time two seperate showers were going in the house. Need some info. please.

If it were me, I would prepare to replace it pretty quick especially if it has any age on it.

might look at your connections on top some are threaded nipples now and we put some water heaters in on some condos and we had to take them out and retape and pipe dope them because they were leaking, don't know how old yours is but might want to check just in case.

I'm guessing its a little over 10 years old. What is max life on these things?

That doesn't sound good at all!!

You're pushing your luck with it being 10 years old...unless your warranty is for more than that (which I doubt).
