When I had my ranger, I had a half windshield....Personally did not like it. The wind coming thru was hiting me right in the eyes. I may still have it and you can have it if you want it.
My bro has a windshield on his Honds big red. When it is cold it is the bomb. I am going to get one for my ranger for cold gets back here. You can dress to stay warm, but with the woindshield you don't have too!
I have a metal top on my ranger fellow TBHer, jmcampbell. It is the best top I have seen yet. His tops are very affordable and he will drive to you and put in on. First class all the way!
I built my roof out of diamond plate aluminum. I also built a front rack with bow holders and a road feeder. I too want to put a windshield on my Ranger but don't know what to do. It's going to have to be custom to work with the other stuff. Any ideas?
I built the roof for mine for under $50, I can't recall what thickness it is but paid around $40 for the metal and then purchased necessary mounting hardware. I just rounded the corners off to match the shape of the roll cage and gave it a good coat of paint.
Interested in the comments on the windshield as well.
I just bought a Koplin full windshield for mine. It is split in the middle allowing you to open the top half. It is 1/4" plexiglass and has some bends in it for strength. Problem with it is if you have the top half open (it tilts) the windshield flexes ALOT past 15 or 20 mph. I'll stiffen it up with some ss angle I guess. If I were to build a windshield, I would use a minimum 1/4" thick material. I'm also building a roof out of 1/4" Aluminum floorplate and will post pictures after complete.
If I were to do it again, I would get the cheap soft plastic windshield. That way it could be taken on and off easily. I've heard on the full windshields, dust boils into the cab.

Do you have a rear window ? I think it is better without one or atleast a sliding window that you can open so it does not create a vacuum.
I have the two piece windshield. It is not the folding kind. It takes about 5 minutes to put it on. I take it off when I travel . I also have the soft top with the rear window. I LOVE the zip on doors!! I don't use the windshield during the summer. To much dust swirls behind the windshield..
Don't have an answer for the Polaris but my Rhino as a full windshield and it sucks! Dust boils in so bad it is suffocating and covers everything. With windshield in raised position - no dust, but then what's the point of having it.
