    New to shooting a bow

And I would like to learn as much as a can. Since I can't practice at work, does anyone know of good websites with articles or video instruction just to get more knowledge and advice on the sport?

I enjoyed reading at huntersfriend.com just thought I would see if there were any other similar sites I was missing out on!

    Thanks!

    Welcome to our addiction. LOL
Go to pro shop for advice and tecnique. They'll have a range and most are willing to help a newby. I don't know of a good one in your area but some one around here will. Also there is probably someone on the green screen that lives in your area that would be more than happy to help you out.

I second what Allaround said.Find a proshop. Spend as much time as possible shooting your bow with experienced archers. They can spot any mistakes you might be making and will help you correct them. Just practice practice practice and then practice some more. If you ever get bored shooting your bow I would suggest a new hobbie. Ive been shooting a bow for 12 yrs now and I still love to sling sticks for hours at a time.

question: What time of bow do you have and are going to use?
I have several good books and links I can send to you.

LOL Traci, Michael and Cory both coach me in person but I love reading so I thought if I could find some websites to browse when I'm pretending to work!

I shoot a Bear Apprentice and would like to shoot 3d just for fun for now.

Ahhh...I wonder if I could get away with that??? I teach reading, so maybe we could broaden our horizons a little, eh? Probably better stick to stuff that won't run the risk of an angry parent phone call...

Just so your aware, there is no known cure for this archery thing. Once you start its like being a meth head, you can't stop even if you try. One good thing though, you won't lose your teeth and go to jail for possession of a bow.

If you move back to a small town, you could totally get away with it!
