G5 Meta Peep users beware!!!

to the guys that don't have G5 peeps, what products do you use instead? I just put on on my new Z7 and i really don't want the issues that blood trail is talking about, mine is a smaller 3/16 one.. but still

3/16 has stronger walls. the problem is with the big 1/4 inch thin wall peeps

i love the place but sometimes "we don't do or carry this or that" for reason x really equates to they just don't have it. They've bashed my bowtech and mathews since the day i brought them in for this that and the other reason.

incidentally they've been happy to install the ones I bought elsewhere . . . . . for a fee.

Pretty well know problem with those.

That being said I have used them on my Elites since 2007 with ZERO issues.

I have one on my admiral and one on my z7 without a problem. The issue is with the larger diameter peep and the material it is made of.

I just put one on my sons Diamond Razor and I am not sure if it was the 1/4 or 3/16, what am I looking for to tell the difference.

I will say that while I buy a lot of stuff at Cabela's, I wouldn't buy anything that changes my bow's set-up (or a bow, for that matter)... I'll leave that to Archery Country in Austin.

I did buy some arrows there once, and asked them to cut them to length. Didn't check the length til I got home. That's when I noticed that they'd measured tip to tip, not nock valley to tip.

Did get a refund, less 10%, since they were then considered custom. And then there's the toll cost of Texas 130 between Manor and I35 S... both ways

Never heard of one breaking a string, but I could see one bending a little. I've got the 1/4" on my SB XT and its been good for 4 years or so, and my bow has been shot a ton (on 3rd set of strings). I think your email was reasonable and fair. I'm interested in how they respond.

I was also told that the problem was much worse on 70lb and higher bows and also something to do with serving them in too tight.

Thats a new one for me, I have one in my 82nd Airborne, Monster, and 2 Destroyers and they have never missed a lick. Many of my buddies shoot them in the Monsters and Destroyers and no problem there either, thanks for the info I will have to keep an eye out to see if it happens.

I never noticed it until they pointed it out to me and sure enuff, it lost it's circular shape.

Ain't had no trouble out of my 3/16 meta peep but might try the Vapor Trail clearview next go around.

the larger diameter ones have always had that problem. Never heard of it cutting a string, but it is a definate possibilty.

I'd be more concerned about it ejecting and finding an eyeball.

I've never felt they were worth a couple fps.
