I just got a Keltec p3at. It is the little 380. I really like it a lot. The first time at the range it jammed twice out of 100 shots. All I had to do was bump the back of the slide a little and it went ahead and loaded both times. It hasnt done that since I broke it in. It points really well and the sights are more functional than they look. I can shoot a 6" group at 15 yards if I try. Thats better than I expected. It says in the manuel that +p is fine but not for everyday use. This is really the only way to go as far as Im concerned because I can now carry no matter what I am wearing. Even with athletic shorts and a wife beater I can carry this thing into walmart late at night knowing Im safe.

forgot to add that you wont like this gun if you have weak wrists or hands. It does jump a little when you touch one off.

I have 2 Bersa 380's. I looked at several smaller frame semi's before I bought the first one including the Keltec. The Keltec felt cheap. Yes, its lighter than the Keltec but every time I pull the triger on the Bersa, it works (and is accurate at 30 feet which is what I generally practice at).

I had a 13 round bersa in .380 that broke shooting +p's. Bought a Kel Tec P-11 that broke shooting +p's. Decided not to place my life on another pocket auto and went with a Ruger Sp101 in .357.

Not exactly a pocket gun but it most likely won't break shooting .38 +p's. Just something to think about.

Keltec offers a lighter spring to help with the trigger. A couple of things you have to do to shoot the keltec's is 1. stage the trigger (the long heavy pull is their safety. You know the trigger is being pulled. 2. Because of the light weight you have to use good form when shooting. The light weight slide requires the frame to remain in place to cycle correctly. In a nutshell if you "limp wrist" it you will experience mis-feeds.

If you do have a mid-feed, a good whack on the mag base will usually knock a round up while the slide sends it into the chamber.

I have both the KelTec P3AT and the Bursa (both 380s). The KelTec is far easier to conceal. As with most compact guns they suggest 200 rounds through them before betting your life on them. Neither of mine had problems after the first 50 rounds. I shoot CorBons in both for carry purposes and though still a 380, I'd sure not like to get whcked at 6 feet with it. BTW I have a laser on the KelTec and as far as I am concerned it is perfect. Prior to it I carried a Slim Hog in 45ACP and it still was too heavy and uncomfortable for every day concealed carry with summer clothes. The KelTec is there with me... period.

i have carried my p-11 almost daily since 1999 no feed or fire problems theres very little finish left on the slide it dosent matter what you carry as long as you are happy with it and are proficent enough to stake your life on it

Give the Diamondback DB380 a look. I purchased one and love it.

                          KelTec P3AT.

Very reliable, concealable, light, just works every time. And, for an up-close and personal or contact weapon...it's been my choice for a number of years.

I shoot standard ball ammo in it at the range for practice and carry CorBon's in it for personal defense. Although, I have shot several mags of the CB's through it to ensure function.

Ruger LCP is a nice pistol as well.

                          Don't know about the Bersa.

As with any pistol, shoot AT LEAST 200 rounds through them cleaning often and thoroughly to ensure function.

Bottom line is go with what you like and will train and practice with.
