    Need Tracking Help

I shot a big boar this evening for the hog contest and haven't found him yet. I plan to resume the search first thing in the morning. I could use some help if anyone is available tomorrow morning.

Location: Colorado County, near Weimar and Sheridan

Drop the guts out 1st and tie a rope around the snout so you can drag it without bending over and it should be doable. Yall don't have big hills to drag the hog up, do ya?

Weimar is about halfway between Houston and San Antonio. It's a little far from DFW.

where did you hit him? Got a blood trail at all? Give us some details man!j

My first thought is that there is likely another dam pig under your feeder now........but I guess there is a contest involved.

I'm positive it was a lung hit. I hit exactly where I was aiming. I guess I somehow only got one lung. This morning while tracking I found where he bedded, but he wasn't in it. I have trailed blood for about 600 yards. It was good at for the first half and very sparse for the rest.

Yes, it's just a pig, but this would be my biggest ever. Plus, we would be sitting pretty for the contest.

Sorry for the luck. Those big hogs seem to have the ability to just seal up and stop bleeding.

You might just step right on top of him when you least expect it, try again on sat. When you can get some help.
