    What's your thoughts?

I'm thinking about high fencing a 160 acre patch here in Oklahoma. It's has about 50 acres of thick woods. Great for bow hunting and limiting shots. 110 is wheat, which I'm thinking of converting to grass. I'm not looking to do a can hunt, but with this small acreage i guess it would. Comments please.

160 acres? Dang Okies! In Texas, we build our feeder pens bigger than that!

Seriously, though... I think that's two small to high fence.

I've done the math on this several times and get the same answer.
Read my post, the second one on this thread.

160 acres seems small, but in reality, you can't cover as much as you think, while hunting it.

It's your land. If you want a high fence, put one up ... when you get it stocked, invite me to come hunt with you!

Penn State did a study years ago with a buck in a ten acre pen. Professional hunters never saw him. He had a radio tracking device on so they know he was still there. They finally found him curled up under a small pine tree hiding. Deer can hide almost anywhere.

X2, if your hunters go for fun and have fun then it wont matter if it's on 5 acres or 5000 acres!
