    Rock River LAR 8

Just a heads up- I was at the San Antonio gun show last weekend and purchased the 20" A4 standard LAR 8 (rock rivers .308 AR10). They are selling for $995 with a 16" barrel A4 mid and $1100 for a 20" barrel A4 standard-

Not sure who is in the market for a reasonably priced AR10, but this gun comes with most all the bells and whistles-- all i need to upgrade are the hand guards--

If you want the contact info from the two cheapest vendors i can send you website, phone and email---

      PM me please.

I'm going to the Gun Show tomorrow in Longview looking for an AR-10.

Is it a flat top and what type of front site does it have?

      Thanks for the info!

The DPMS and Armalite rifles have much more aftermarket parts available.

The DPMS in particular is built along the lines of the KAC SR25 as is the Larue OBR. Obviously the DMPS in not in the same league as those other two but they are built along the same platform. They will alk accept the Magpul LR20 PMAGS as well where as the Rock River takes FAL mags.

I think i read somewhere that they built them for Bushmaster then took it back and changed it up when BM decided it wasnt marketable or something like that!?!?

                Hi Mike!
Actually in this case, Tommy is right.

I don't know the history behind the LAR8 but I know the reasons I didn't buy one.

Got the gun out to the lease this weekend- Great rifle- Shoots well, just double tapping the .308 is a bit different--

We did not see any hogs, but did nail a jack rabbit at 80 yards-- The range and field reports thus far all great. top notch rifle--So far I am at 2.5 MOA. I am not a great shot with any rifle so i cannot sit here and attest to the MOA and all that--Let a buddy of mine take a few shots and he was shooting at 1MOA- Not bad---
