    Putting dates on pictures?

Is there a way to put a date on a picture once you've taken the picture? Might sound strange but I need a date on the pictures I took from the day it snowed (Feb 23rd and 24th)

Were they taken with a digital camera? Each digital image has the time, date, exposure, camera model, etc digitally embedded in the image properties. Don't know if this helps or not.

here's a program d/l that can do it. I have not downloaded it and do not know exactly how it works.

Download a free trial copy of Better JPEG, a high quality JPEG editor with unique lossless editing features. Avoid JPEG compression artifacts on your photos.

open your pix with paint. Once you are in paint, you can add text.

I can't figure out how to get the date on my pictures using my camera...the pictures I've already taken. Does anyone have some central Texas snow pictures I can use. Its a long story but if you have some I can use I will PM you what happened. I don't care if they're pictures of your dog playing in the snow. I just need some that show the snow in the leander/liberty hill/ burnet area

Genevieve try this program. It is used by a bunch of the homebrew trail cam guys where their camera doesn't time/date stamp the picture in the camera.

It even has a free trail that you may be able to use to do what you need to do.

If you have not changed the photo, try right clicking the file and choose properties. It will tell you the camera, date taken, and much more info.

/\ what he said. I think it should show you the original date and time even if you change it.

It should be easy, Gen, if you've got it in your computer to open it up in paint and simply write the date on it somewhere with the "Text" feature.
