I kept having to do weeks over again to hit the number. When I gave up on getting to 100 I was maxing around 55. One good thing - I still include pushups in my regular workout - sets of 30 - which is good for me because my one-time max was only 32 when I started the program.
I too maxed at 32 when I started. Did somewhere around 175 yesterday (in the 5 sets). And thats was after I did 55 at lunch just to see if I could. I feel that I could have pushed out another 15-18 but didn't want to push it because I knew I had to get through week 4 (for the second time).
I'm going trough it really slow. Matter of fact I kind of made up my own plan with the help of my personal trainer. It has been a pretty tough road for me after the bicep repair. I'm still about 15-20% weaker with my left arm. I am doing 3 sets of 16 pushups on yoga bricks. And I have started doing push-ups on gymnastic rings. My plan will get me to goal I'm just takin the senic route is all.
