He is in a wheel chair but back to his old ways.

He had a spinal cord stroke. Not sure if a rare form of a blood cancer caused it or what. Not sure if you've seen it, but one of his show's is about him going into the hospital and the nurses and doctors couldn't figure anything out. His wife just loads him up and takes him home! It's a pretty good show.

I have never cared much for this fishing episodes but i watched his 2 new ones (marlin fishing and trout fishing) and thought they were great. I can't want to see if he tries hunting again.
