I think you have to wear hunter orange when you hunt any public land in TEXAS.

TY II land you do not have to wear orange if it is archery only season. It is somewhere in the TY II hunting lands book. Some place will state it on the map locations and such.

        Hunting General Information
Closed Season: For any species, the period of time, if any, when hunting that species is not permitted.
Hunter Orange: No hunter orange is required while hunting on private property, but it is recommended. Public hunting lands require 400 square inches of daylight florescent orange with 144 square inches appearing on both chest and back, and daylight florescent orange headwear must be worn.

I could not find the exception for archery only.

Harley, I believe you are referencing TPWD public land,
Grapevine Lake is US Army Corps of Engineers Land
