not sure what the best is, but I have a deep cycle trolling motor battery I bought at WalMart 8 years ago and it still works like a champ.......

Cabelas is having a sale on Batteries right now. I plan on stopping tomorrow on my way to Columbus to pick me one up. The reviews for the Cabelas battery is very good.

Interstate is a good brand, but like them all, you have to maintain them. Keep the levels full, posts clean, and charged every so often.

Get the biggest (amps) deep cycle you can find. Lots of places sell them but Wal-Mart, for my money, is as good as any.

Cabelas has their Advanced Angler AGM Battery Group size 24 1195 Cranking AMPS & 995 Cold Cranking AMPS on Sale for $119.99.

Would this battery be more than suffient to power a 45lb thrust trolling motor on a 10ft Pelican plastic bass prowler type boat?

I just bought this little guy this week here on TBH. Driving dow to Columbus tomorrow to pick her up. I beleive its the 2002 model. Can't wait to get it. I had one in HS and fished all the little creeks and coves and ponds in Burnet Cnty.

I fish a lot. I use Walmart batteries. I get good service and when something does go wrong I can quickly replace, under warranty most of the time, any where in the country.

Academy sells some good ones as well and the return policy is great.
