My Whippet's having pups right now!!

Abby Just had number five! Ha! Poochmeister (the dad) keeps smelling my hand when I come back from the room she is giving birth in. He seems excited too. So far it looks like three black and white (tuxedo) and two brindle and white. Won't know for sure till they clean up and dry out some. I don't want to bother her too much during this stage. Don't know genders yet. My wife is totally stoked for keeping one. I guess i will have champion bloodline Whippet puppies Available in about six to eight weeks.

They are really dang fast. Used to catch rabbits on open ground and race. They are really great pets too. They don't bark hardly ever unless they see something they wanna chase. Extreme chase insinct though. They love to chase tennis balls and such. 0 to 35 mph in about 50 ft as opposed to greyhounds that need alot more space to get to top speed. Makes me laugh to see them cut loose runnin just to have fun. They are pretty hard to find though and generally run anywhere from $500 to $1500 depending. I think ours will be closer to $500 but that is up to my wife. I like taking Poochmeister to the beach when I go fishing and watch him hual *** kickin up a sand rooster tail. YEEHAA!

                Yep! pretty much.

They are drying up some. One looks like the one in the picture that is over the top of the mom that is almost all brindle and another looks like the spotted brindle out in front of the moms belly . The other three are Tuxedo to different degrees. Looks like five is gonna be the magic number. They are all suckin milk real good. Nothin cuter than a puppy.

Congrats. I have an italian greyhound. She gets to runnin and dirt and grass starts to fly. She's a tough one too. Caught a cotton tail that was huge! Greyhounds, whippets and italian greyhounds are good dogs and don't get that doggy smell.

                    Cool. I like italians.

I like to let Poochmeister see if he can catch squirrels before they can get on the tree. He has successfully covered 40 yds and caught a squirrel that was 5 ft from the tree when the race started. He was very proud of it and wanted to take it home to momma.

I gotta say that I was pretty dang impressed too. I didnt think he could pull it off.

I had a big greyhound that would pull squirrels off the fence by their tail, he didn't know what do to with them so he would shake his head and sling them across the yard. He would also catch grackles (sp) One time he proudly brought one in the house, unfortunatly it was still alive. I had to chase it upstairs and use a broom to get it out of the closet and back down stairs.
