'The Butcher Shop' on Old Mansfield Hwy. It's north of I-20 about a mile or two on the left hand side. I buy a lot of casings from them when I make sausage. Callaway's used to be good in Arlington, but they are out of business.
There is a real old time meat market in Rendon. Go to the 4 way stop in Rendon by AYW Taxidermy and hang a left. They are right there on the right before the fire station.
Rendon Meats USED to be awesome. It's just ok now. Changed owners a couple of times and it's not as good as it used to be. It's probably still better than most these days. I also buy casings from them, along with my high-melt cheddar.
Well again i appreciate the answers. I just wish Id had them earlier.... I picked up some steaks from Alberstsons and they were tough cooked between a MR and medium. Of course I goofed and thought I picked up porter house and they were just top sirlion so that had a bit to do with it.
Oh well money down the drain now... I have a few options for next time....
