    Pro Shop RANT

We have 1 pro shop here in the Springs as while they are ok, they have a tendency to do some stupid stuff. Just because the owner is a Mathews sponsored shooter, they think everyone else should be too.
Their latest trick? They won't work on mine (Destroyer 340) or anyone else's Bowtech anymore. Why you ask? Because some moron on AT managed to break his Destroyer by 1)Shooting under spined arrows 2)Tying his drop away rest too tight and 3)Messing with the cable guard.

The closest shop after them is 1.5 hours out. I'm certainly NOT driving that far when these guys have worked on them before.

Anyone got a good idea as too how I ought to approach this situation?

    Ok, rant over....

Grant I'm sure you have bought a bunch of stuff there in the past...just go in one day in the middle of the week when the owner is there and talk to him...with nobody else in the shop he might help you out??? just a thought

Wow! My pro shop would never act like that. Smithfield archery in Fort Worth will gladly work on any bow. I personally would never buy anything else from that shop.

Pretty good idea Josh. That might be the ticket.

No offense but I would not have bought it for just this reason,

I didn't just for that reason. I bought it from Paul because he's always appreciated my business and I happened to be in town that day.

To be fair, I gave our shop here first crack but they obviously didn't want to see me anything other than the new Z7 because that's all they talked about.

1)Buy the equipment and work on your own.
                        2)Buy a Mathews.
3)Buy a economical car to make the long drive to the other shop.
That pretty much looks like your choices. If he refused to work on my bow I would refuse to give him any more of my business.

Just because no one in his area carries that bow shouldn't mean they won't work on it though. Now I would except to pay full price for service as it was bought somewhere else.

I know my tech will and does work on anything.

Pretty much sums it up doesn't it. I think I might go with Josh's suggestion about talking to Bill (the owner) past that, I think I'll just get me a press and do it all myself....

I agree. I have no problem paying full price for service on a bow I didn't buy there, but I agree that they should work on it in any event...
