Outstanding news unless your a factory worker for a U.S Chrysler plant. Private equity has a big reputation for trimming the fat! Good and bad for the Company and it's work force. It will be great when they finally get back on the plus side.
Next year they will report a profit, I can almost guarantee that. However, it's not going to be from operations, which will take some time. The profits are going to result in income from misc. items and non-operational selling. Basically, all below the line non-recurring items. They need to turn things around and start making profits from actually selling cars and not pieces of their business and cutting expenses. They'll eventually get there, but it's going to probably come at a great cost of the American work force and their families. Private equity is great for a company in ruins. It's a better answer than bankruptcy!

It will be interesting to see if Jeep goes with the Chrysler deal. Last week a buddy of mine that owns a Dodge dealership said that he had heard that Germany was going to keep hold of jeep???

Either way I like the idea above, it may just have to be a Dodge Ram instead of a Jeep!!
