SITD: Anyone know a cabinet refinisher in Austin?

SITD: Anyone know a cabinet refinisher in Austin?

We have a receptionist type desk that the boss man would like to get refinished/resurfaced, thinking maybe a new coat of cherry like stain sprayed on, maybe a formica top...

not sure what is wrong with our old one but they wanted this one from a remodel and it shows heavy usage...just need a new coat of paint basically.

    any he'p?

If you have an STD, the last thing you need to be worrying about is refinishing your cabinets...

Try a company called Furniture Medic. I was in the commercial furniture business for 15+ years and this is who we used for repairs. They do great work and are reasonably priced. The goofier the furniture repair guy is the better he is. They get goofy from inhaling all those fumes for a number of years.........

If it is somewhat basic strip and refinish I can help you myself.....

this is one of those made to order circular desks that has a cherrywood finish, the wood itself is that pressboard stuff so the nicks and scratches kind of stick out like a sore thumb. I am no furniture guy but I would think maybe just a coat or two, sprayed on cherrywood lacquer or whatever is used, would be a cure all. Might opt for a formica top on the writing surface but not necessary, guess the receptionist could use a large deskpad or whatever they are called. I will call the medic guys tomorrow to see what they say. Thanks

I would think this would be an easy job for someone in the biz or know
