    video question

first off, I have NO computer skilz. Whenever I read thread on how to post this or do that, I'm lost. But heres my question...

If I use a video recorder that tapes onto an SD card, do I save the video on my lap top like I would a pic? Just plug in the card to the laptop? What next? Do I still need some kind of program to retrieve video? Would I post video like I would a pic if video in on an SD card?

My wife just bought a vid cam that records to an SD card only. I was hopin that may be easier than a mini dv.

I have got to get with the times.

you import the video from your SD care to your computer, much like you do with a normal pic. most likely your video camera came with a disk that contains some type of video editing software. install that software and it should work well for importing the video and editing.

if you are using a mac, iMovie is a breeze.

gonna go look for owners manual and disk now. I guess when all else fails, read the directions!
