I ate the best burger of my life in Van Horn, TX in some hole-in-the-wall place. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that I had just spent a week in the mountains living off rehydrated meals.

They'll take your picture, put your name on the wall, or something if you eat the big Mels burger that is like a foot tall. Mels is out NE of Tomball

Lankfords has kind of fallen off lately. Try Christians on Westcott and I-10

I stand corrected, called them, I think they used to be on the north side of i-10, I see they just moved with the freeway expansion.

A couple places come to mind. May not be the BEST but still pretty darn Tasty.

                    1. Sam's Burger Joint - Gessner Rd. just north (I think) of Tanner and Gessner.
                    2. Myti Burger - Blalock and Kempwood. Ate there on Monday, and it was pretty good.

                    Those are close to you.
Just past Tanner going the other direction is Berger Tex. Very good. 5610 Gessner Rd.

Guy's Meat Market on Old Spanish Trail. No question about it. They smoke their hamburger meat so its extra tender.

Goode Co. off of Kirby is awesome...

And there's always Pete's Burgers off of loop 494 out by Porter, I go there in a pinch, pretty dang good and right around the corner.
