Anyone know anything about Apple Computers?

I was given an Apple computer today by my boss, he said they bought it a few years ago and never used it. He was either going to throw it out or I was going to take it...so now I have it. Anyone know anything about an "eMac" ?

Find the closest Apple store and schedule a tutoring session. They'll show you all the in's and out's. No charge. I think you're gonna love it.

Those are pretty old. But alot of peeps still like them. Not sure what kind of OS it has on it, but you should be able to use it for a few things or better yet, sell it on ebay or craigslist. There's a lot of Mac fans out there that might buy it.

Hmmm, I'm updating it right now. It looks like they just turned it on and that was about it. They didn't even set up passwords or anything on it iTunes had never been opened. I'll have to check into it, maybe I'll sell it.

I'm a dedicated mac fanboy and have used them since MacOS 8.6. Hit me up here or FB with any problems or questions you have.

The eMac is basically a 2nd generation iMac running a PowerPC G4 processor. That means that the latest OS it can run is 10.5 as 10.6 finally dropped legacy support for the PowerPC processors. I still have a G3 that I used as my main machine until last year, and it was just fine. Depending how much memory it has installed it could be good for a lot of things. If nothing else its absolutely perfect for an internet workstation, web, email, photos, etc.

No viruses. Thats what I know about 'em and I'm trying to decide between a new Mac or another AR.

They are kick arse computers. You can do graphic design stuff on it that your PC couldn't ever swallow.

Play with it a little and you probably won't ever go back to anything else.

Well, I'm running on Mac OS X on it and I believe it has a few gliches. I'm not going to spend any money on getting it fixed but if anyone knows anything about them they are more than willing to take it off my hands.

Get on Facebook and I will explain it to you better, basically the web brower just shuts down at random times, I tried to update it but it shut down and locked up the computer on me about 10 times...then I said to myself "self, this computer is not for you"
