    Bows Arrows and Speed

I got my new Blacked out DXT setup today and all I can say is it's good to be back in a Mathews!!

    Here is the setup:
    29"
    64 pounds
    String Loop
    Quad Ultra Hunter rest
    Spot Hog Real Deal

    Arrows:
    29" Carbon Tech Cheetah's
    100 grain field tip
    Cameron's Wraps
    Blazer vanes

Arrow weight: 330 grains or 5.15 gpi

    Chrono: 293

I did some additional testing on arrows that had lost one or two vanes and found that you lose 2.5 fps for every blazer vane. I was shooting 293 with tree vanes, then shot an arrow with only one vane and the speed went to 298.

I also shot my first true Robin Hood today with an arrow having only one vane!! Apparently at 20 yards and only one vane they still fly absolutely perfect.

It is a Hicks torqueless grip and I hate it. It is very uncomfortable to me and jabs you in the bottom of your hand. I traded it straight across for an original DXT grip.
