    NEW Drenalin -speed test

    29in draw at 70 pounds with a 403 grain arrow.....288fps -76KE

cant wait to put it on somethin. I had 6 hogs in a trap yesterday but I didn't want the first kill to be a trapped hog....bad luck or something LOL

I need to see (or want to see) how much KE my bow is getting. Good luck on the hogs!

I hear ya Wac M. I'm in the same boat. I have a Drenalin on layaway and I am going nuts! All I can think about is the new bow and getting to use it. It will be a giant relief to get it in my hands and get my first bow kill! I am just about ready for a huggy jacket and a nice padded room!

Chris, heres the formula for KE. You might be able to find a web site to calculate it for you but heres what I got out of Bowhunting World

arrow weight times arrow speed squared. Divided by 450240.

          Wac M,

So my arrows are about 400 grains with fieldtips. Arrow speed is 250
          400 X 250 fps=100,000 squared is 316.22776 / 450240 = 0.0007023??

          Is this right? 70 KE?

            Actually it's 55.53 lbs/ft

            400 x (250 x 250) / 450240 = 55.53

              oops, thanks for the correction.

Now, if I can just get a pig to stand still.

Just go to Easton .com and down load the hunting arrow selector chart and save it to desktop.
