Alright guys, my dad and I were talking the other day and decided its about time for me to upgrade my old BowTech. I started looking on their website and saw the Destroyer 350 new for 2010 and it looks pretty sweet. This is the bow I'm wanting to get. Do any of you guys have any experience with this bow? What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

Fast - yes
Smooth - all in the eye of the beholder
Dead in Hand - less vibration than previous offerings
Quiet - probably the loudest bow I've shot over the past couple of years
Do yourself a favor and shoot the Maxxis or the Z7.

You gotta love a die hard Mathews Fan, I am with MountainMan the Z7 sucked, was slow, and had hand shock. I am not being bias either I got rid of my Mathews Monster for the Destroyer. The bow is wicked quiet if it is setup correctly because mine is.
I have a 50# Destroyer 350 coming for the wife.

I chose a Mathews and stated VERY clearly that he should shoot the Z7 and the Maxxis. I'm not a die hard Mathews guy. Of course, what else do you expect from a Bowtech fanboy????

I have owned Mathews bows. I currently shoot a 2007 Bowtech Guardian. After seeing all that Hoyt has done in the past few years, I planned on a Hoyt being my next bow.
However, I shot a Destroyer 340 the other day and LOVED it. Quiet, but it had a little lingering vibration. That is because it was totally bare. It was super smooth on the draw and the shot. The only bow I've shot recently that I liked more was the Carbon Matrix, but I can't drop that kind of coin on a bow.
Shoot em all, get the one you like best, ignore the brand name.

I shot the 340 and 350....... with my arrows (467g), 28.5 draw @ 65 lbs........... 267 fps was the fastest it shot.
Quite, not to bad.... except for the sound of thumping a plastic cup I got from the string tamer.
Dead in the hand, all except the "buzz" after the shot
And just to be fair..... I also shot the Z7 with the same as above set up. And got 266 out of it.
Quiet, yes
Dead in the hand, very little if any hand shock.
Neither bow had me wanting to go and and buy one.

Not trying to sway your judgement but shot the new Bear Attack last sunday and was blown away!Totally dead in the hand, really quiet shot it with out string leeches and was still really quiet! The draw cycle was smooth!Chronoed it at 29" and 72#s a 457 gr. arrow was 295,292, and 290.Shot the same arrow at 62#s and 29" and it was 275!That pretty darn fast if you ask me?Just go shoot one if you get a chance might be pleasantly surprised!

Being that I'm in the market for a new bow, having to step down in draw weight, and been shooting 10 year old technology, I thought it was time to upgrade. So I sold my baby of 10 years a few weeks ago. Last weekend I shot the Z7 at 28", The Monster 6 at 29", and the Destroyer 350at 26", all at 60lbs with one of my 360gr arrows. Yesterday I went and shot the detroyer again from a different dealer in both the 350 abd 340 with the same arrow at 29". I still have a few bows I'd like to shoot before committing my $$$ in the next 2-3 weeks: An Elite Judge, Hoyt Alphaburner, HCA Speed Pro X10, and a Bow Madness by PSE if I can find one. Most of my shooting is done with my eyes closed so I can focus on sound and vibrations.
This is what I've found thus far from my personal experiance, and keep in mind I didn't have a wrist sling on: I found the Z7 to be buttery smooth on the draw, but heard a slight resination on the shot. But I'm not really sure I felt it in the hand. A very rock solid back wall with zero sponge! And a pretty quick shot.
The Monster was just that "for me" on the draw, a monster. It was very smooth but a littel stiffer till I hit the hump and the battel was on. But once over it was very pleasureable to hold and fast on the shot! The bow jumped slightly upward. Resonation was lower. And the bow was so fast, I didn't get to hold it after the shot whem it jumped upward slightly from my hand. I was to worried about catching it cause lack of wrist sling. Stabalizers on this bow would be very minimal in length to me. The Destroyer 350 in 26" was a suprise. I didn't know at first it was a 26" and thought that it was spongy when I drew it all the way back past the string stops (not knowing any better). The draw cycle was much smoother than I thought it would be and a plesure to hold, except for the spongy feeling as stated from above
. The shot was smoke-n fast and there was a slight vertical vibe but most certainly tolarable to an expeianced shooter, very negligeable. I went and shot both the 350 and 340 in a 29" yesterday to feel the difference. The 340 had a slightly easier draw to it, was about the only difference I could tell. The wall was pretty solid at 29". Just wish I had a 29" draw intead of my 28" or 28.5"
. Drawing with string stops, for me, would take some getting used toseeing there is nothing to stop the cam from continued foced rotation. But I'm not going to rule them out ust yet.
My serch will continue over the next couple of weeks. Hope this helps ya out. Remember, these are "My" findings. Have fun!
