    Possible Turkey Lease Opening

Looks like we've got a crawfisher on my spring turkey lease. Just checking interest levels at this point in the event he does back out. I'll know for sure in the next 24 hours. Here's the scoop....
Approximately 1100 ac. in Archer County, 5 guns, $500 per gun. Guests are allowed, but they shoot off of your tag. Also, no guests on opening weekend (April 3rd and 4th). There is no lodging on the place...we stay in hotels either in Seymour or Olney. Hunted this place last year and there is no shortage of birds.
    Anybody interested?

I did some checking for leases last year and there were several that came back that high. I can understand helping someone with corn cost, but these people are crazy. I pay $100 per day (not turkey) on a 17,700 acre ranch that absolutely incredible. There are several spots out there to hunt and this sounds like a great deal for someone. I am just shocked to see someone offering a great turkey deal. This will not last long.

Got turkeys falling from the trees. 500.00 sounds great if it includes pigs....

4 bird limit per spot...guests shoot off your 4 tags. It does include hogs (there were LOTS last year, but the LO said they come and go, as hogs tend to do.) Trying to figure out how to handle the hog hunting....for sure don't want somebody up there tromping through the creekbottoms at dark disturbing the turkey roosts. I'm open to suggestions regarding that....

This is a friendly, low-pressure deal that I've worked out with a landowner in order for me and a few buddies to be able to hunt turkeys without having to drop serious coin as mentioned in above posts. I'm not a turkey outfitter and I'm not guaranteeing anything, but we did quite well there last year.
