Whats the going rate one of these guys? I want to get in on one before they are banned hunting. I have 2750 with food, lodging, guide, etc.

That sounds a little high. I did a hunt for one a couple of months ago. The price was $1250 per cow and $1500 per bull. We brought our own food and lodging was around $50 per day. I hunted here. http://www.thearrowheadranch.com/

I was hunting one for $3250 last year! Shot a nice $1600 Fallow instead though.. Not sure of prices right now on those, but I know all prices are way down from last year.. I would do some checking around.. Good Luck to you! They are beautiful animals for sure and alot bigger than they look in photos!

If you're shopping though, $2000 to $2500 is the going rate for the animal ... additional for food/lodging.

It's a little high. Latest word I have gotten is they are not going to be put on the endangered list so prices have risen from the fire sale last year. A brother of mine said he could do that hunt for around $2,000. PM me if you need more info.

I would call alot of ranches on highway 41. they are going for about $1750 around there. If I trap some this weekend you can shoot one out of the trailer for $1000. I trap and sell sizes 30-40 inches.
