Silver Fox in Ft. Worth??

Anyone been there and how was it? Wanted to suggest it on the 5 star thread but I hadn't eaton there. A guy I grew up with owns it and I thought about taking my wife there for her B-Day dinner. Any thoughts?

I've eaten in a few 5-Star restaurants including Ruth's Chris and Del Frisco's, but the best steaks I've ever eaten have come from the Silver Fox. Unbelievably tender and wonderful taste. Lobsters are fresh and have been perfectly prepared as well. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Love it! Took my wife there for Valentine's Day. Three Forks salad is really good, and all their steaks are prime cuts, cant go wrong.

We go everytime we're down there. The seafood bisque and filet are the best. Del Frisco's has a great steak too, but Silver Fox is the best IMO.

I've been to the Silver Fox in Plano, and really enjoyed it. Never been to the one in Fort Worth though.

Not to hijack your thread but I will anway. Do you guys really like Ruth Chris? I ate at one in Mobile when I lived there and wasn't impressed.

I guess I must have gone there on a bad day cause it was by far one of the worst places
I've ever eaten at. The water and the tea tasted like it came right out of the Trinity River. The steak was tough over cooked and had no flavor. Salad was wilted. Service was almost non existent. From the time we were given our menus it was an half hour before our waiter showed up to take our order. Then it was anouther hour before our meal came. I'll go to Del Friscos or Texas de Brazil but never the Silver Fox again.

I don't like the silver fox. Food is too foo foo, steak choices are not the greatest and they do not taste like Del Friscos.

I would much rather go to Del Fricos for the same price.

If you want something more foo foo and different then try Grace. Also not my favorite but, better than the Silver Fox. Started by Adam that used to run Del Friscos.
