My wife actually signed up for this!

The Texas Independence Relay is composed of 40 relay legs of various lengths, totaling over 200 miles. The course starts in Gonzales, TX, where the Texas Revolution began, and it finishes at the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas Independence was won! To tackle this formidable task, your team will be composed of 8 to 12 members (your choice!), and you'll have an exceptional time either furthering good friendships or making new ones! You'll encourage each other along the way while you visit the small towns of Shiner, Moulton, Flatonia, Schulenburg, Weimar, Borden, Columbus, Altair, Eagle Lake, Wallis, Orchard, Simonton, and Fulshear. Then, you'll make your way through the paramount city of Houston, experiencing it in a way you never have before!

It sounds like a blast, being on a 9 person team her 3 legs will total about 16 miles. The total relay will take about 36 hours!

    Everyone wish them luck please!

Good point Rod. Maybe I'll meet them in Shiner, load up the cooler and then drink while I wait at the check points

That is an awesome race. Best of luck to her and her team.

One of the guys who works for me did the entire thing by himself two years ago.

One of my friends who does these type of mega marathons signed up to do the whole thing on his own. I have seen him do 150 with little problems unless you consider his feet swelling up so bad that his toe nails popped off. Pretty intense.

I have a co-worker that did it last year and will do it again this year. Sounds fun.
