    Arrow Spine Question

Stoopid questions maybe, but gunna ask anyway ...
    1) to stiffen an arrow, do you shorten th arrow length?
    2) does increasing point weight weaken or stiffen an arrow?
    3) does shortening an arrow w/ "weight forwad technlogy" negatively affect it's design? Ie: takin a 31" CX arrow w/ WFT and cuttin to 27"

    Just curious.

    1. Shortening an arrow will stiffen the spine. So will adding weight to the rear of the arrow.
    2. A heavier tip will weaken the spine of an arrow regardless of the length.
    3. I doubt cutting a "weight forward technology" down will negate the effect intended. I doubt anyone shoots a full length shaft anyway, so it is more than just the tip that is weighted. I do believe they are intended to keep the weight forward throughout a common length of arrow. So I dont think cutting it down 4 inches will have a very noticeable effect.

      1. yes, shortening arrow stiffens spine.
      2. Adding point weight weakens spine.
      3. Sorry, I don't know.
