I shoot a 2008 Diamond Black Ice. I read on their website that the let off can be adjusted from 65%-80%. There are #'s on the cam that go from 1 to 10. It is currently setting on 6. Is that where the let off is adjusted? If so, which way would I adjust it to increase the let off? Now, next question. If I do increase the let off, won't that slow my speed down? Seems like I read that somewhere. Thanks for any help.

go to the owners manual. for your specific draw length there are two things you change. the cam and the post . . . . i believe its the post that impact the let off. its specific to your draw length so I think you should look it up.
I personally can hold the higher let off but my accuracy is far better with 65

Better be careful adjusting the post. If ti is a Bowtec cam, that is actually the draw stop. Putting it in the wrong spot will allow the cams to over rotate, and lock at full draw. Look at the owner's manual on line, and see how they say to do it. Draw length should not be affected by let off change. Do you know where it is set now?

I do not think it will slow your arrow down. It will decrease your holding weight, meaning it will be easier to hold at full draw for longer. The speed is generated by draw weight, and length of travel while the arrow is attached to the string. I was referring to let off % now, not draw length. Also Diamond has the owner manuals for your year model bow on line here.

As everyone said be very very careful. You can lock your limbs by going the wrong direction or have the bow jerk your hands because you didn't give the limbs enough room to rotate through the valley.
