    String Stop

Isn't there supposed to be a tiny gap between the stop and the string? Or should they be touching?

I do not know if it is the right way but I put a thin peice of paper between the string and the stop so it is snug and then tighten down the set screws. Pull out the paper and the string is barely touching the stop. It works great for me.

Bought a bow from ShockValue and the string is pushing on the stop. I thought I heard the guy at Vicking Archery tell a customer theree is supposed to be a gap...........

i got one gapped about a business card and another gapped about a credit card. i adjusted it in and out up to a 1/4" in each direction to see if it helped reduce noise and the settings with just a tiny gap seemed to be quietest on my bows

One of the bow companies said that they should just touch the string, another tells me to have a credit card gap!? Duh, maybe somewhere inbetween?! STS says to use the gap. Try both and find out which one works best for your bow setup!!
