You don't need a heavy bullet, you need proper shot placement!

I'd more than comfortable using my 130 grain rounds on a bear hunt

the heaviest I found on the midwayusa website is 150 grains. That's gonna be a tough round to find. good luck!

140 grain would be plenty.

like wise. i hunt with a .270 as far my mind goes back, 167 grains is tops. but i may be wrong. a 150 grain will do. not alot of bear here to hunt. but from what the hunting programs show, most are taken less than 70 yards. i"m thinking of doing the same thing about three years from now. get back to me what ever round you take. thanks.
